STUDY BASICS

Have you ever seen a physical medicine and rehabilitation health care provider over telemedicine? Are you over the age of 18? If so, you may be eligible to participate in a research study at the University of Pittsburgh examining perceived pros and cons of telemedicine. The survey will last ten minutes and can be reached on any device that connects to the internet.


STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this research study is to understand perceptions of telemedicine in physical medicine and rehabilitation from physicians and patients. To assess these perceptions, we are conducting a survey study that will include patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers. The survey will last ten minutes and can be reached on any device that connects to the internet.

Gwendolyn Sowa

Gwendolyn Sowa, MD, is a Professor and Chair of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Sowa’s research interests include low back pain, molecular biomarkers of low back pain, and mechanobiology of the intervertebral disc.
