STUDY BASICS

Are you 18-30 years old and a native Spanish speaker (Spanish was the first language you learned)? You may be able to participate in a study to help understand how the first language backgrounds of participants influence learning a second language. This study involves completing reading tasks, answering questions, and completing a survey. Compensation is provided.

Charles Perfetti

Charles Perfetti is Distinguished University Professor of Psychology and Director of the Learning Research & Development Center. His research contributes to the Science of Reading, the study of how humans obtain meaning from written language. His lab uses behavioral and EEG recording methods to study word learning, word reading, and reading comprehension across languages.
