STUDY BASICS

Are you an attending physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner who provides primary care to patients aged 65 and up? You may be able to participate in a research study to help understand clinicians’ experiences with screening patients for cognitive impairment. Participation involves one 50-minute online focus group. Compensation is provided.

STUDY PURPOSE

Primary care providers play an important role in identifying cognitive decline in their patients, but screening tools for cognitive impairments can be costly and burdensome. The purpose of this research study is to gather feedback from clinicians about their experiences screening patients for cognitive decline and interpreting the results. Researchers hope their findings lead to better ways to identify and treat people with cognitive impairments in the future.
