STUDY BASICS
Are you the parent of a son ages 16-17 who is expecting a child or already has a child up to 3 years old? If so, your son may be able to take part in a research study to better understand what kinds of support teenage fathers and fathers-to-be need to succeed and be healthy. Study involves a one-hour interview that can take place in your home or library/community center. Compensation provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
A father’s involvement in his child’s life can have a huge impact on a child’s health and well-being. The purpose of this study is to help researchers learn more about the role that teenage fathers play in their child’s life and better understand how healthcare workers may affect teenage fathers’ ideas about parenting. Researchers hope their findings will lead to better ways to support young fathers in the future.COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOUR CHILD?
- Teen boys ages 16 or 17
- Teen is the father of a child who is up to 3 years old, or is expecting a child
