STUDY BASICS

Do you have a primary care provider (PCP)? You may be able to participate in a research study to help better understand the trust that patients have for their health care providers. Participation involves one anonymous online survey that will take about 5-10 minutes to complete. Participants will have the option to enter a drawing for a gift card after survey completion.


STUDY PURPOSE

The relationship between a patient and their health care provider can be an important one. The purpose of this research study is to help better understand the trust that patients have for their health care providers. Researchers hope their findings lead to better relationships between patients and health care providers in the future. 


COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
  • Ages 18 and up
  • Have a primary health care provider (PCP)
  • Have an email address and access to an internet-connected device to complete the online survey

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

Participation involves one anonymous online survey that will take about 5-10 minutes to complete. All responses are confidential. Participants who complete the survey will be given the option to enter a drawing for one of ten $25 gift cards.

MEET THE RESEARCHER


John Maier

John Maier, MD, PhD, is Assistant Professor and Director of Research in the Department of Family Medicine and serves as Co-Director of the Innovation Core for the Clinical & Translational Science Institute at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Maier completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame and went on to earn his medical degree and PhD at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before training as a resident in Family Medicine at UPMC. Dr. Maier's research focuses on the development of tools useful in image analysis for anatomic pathology.
