STUDY BASICS

Are you a woman aged 45 or older who is bothered by low sexual desire or low libido? If so, you may be able to participate in a research study to examine the effects of a mindfulness intervention on sexual desire. Participants will attend six 2-hour videoconference sessions over six weeks and complete two follow-up assessments. Compensation is provided.

STUDY PURPOSE

Low sexual desire is a common problem among middle-aged women and can have a negative impact on self-esteem, wellbeing, and relationships. There are currently few good treatments for low sexual desire. The purpose of this research study is to find out if a behavioral treatment using principles of mindfulness meditation is feasible and acceptable to midlife women with low sexual desire.
