STUDY BASICS

Are you the parent of a child aged 7-17? If so, you may be able to complete a survey to help researchers better understand how parents feel about the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination and its suitability for their children. Participation in this research study takes about 10-15 minutes and does not involve any in-person visits.


STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this survey study is to help better understand how parents feel about the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine and its suitability for their children.


COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOUR CHILD?
  • Parent of a child aged 7-17
  • Parent able to read and write in English
  • Parent has an email address and access to internet-connected device

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

Parents will be asked to answer a series of questions via an online survey related to their opinions before and after viewing brochures about the HPV vaccine. The survey should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. At the conclusion of this research study, two participants will be randomly selected to receive Amazon gift cards.

Deborah Studen-Pavlovich

Deborah Studen-Pavlovich, DMD, is professor, chair, and residency program director of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Studen-Pavlovich is a graduate of Butler University and the University of Pittsburgh.
