STUDY BASICS
Do you have chronic pain associated with knee osteoarthritis? You may be eligible for a research study which is looking at the relationship between pain and movement in knee osteoarthritis. Compensation is provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between pain and movement in people with knee osteoarthritis pain.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
- Are age 45-70
- Have chronic pain associated with knee osteoarthritis.
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
- Taking part in this study involves completing one in person visit that should last no longer than 2 hours and completing questionnaires at home.
- Procedures will include wearing a brain imaging cap and body sensors and doing a set of knee exercises including walking, stretching, standing, and stair climbing.
- You will rate your knee pain before, during, and after all of the exercises.
- You will be videotaped during the exercises.
