STUDY BASICS

A group of patients, doctors, and researchers in the PaTH Clinical Research Network have formed a “Learning Community” to find out more about how health systems can improve care for patients with high blood pressure. By hearing your story about your experiences with health and illness, we hope to focus research on topics that are important to patients and likely to improve health and health care.

STUDY PURPOSE

Understanding the experiences of patients, caregivers, and research participants is important as researchers work to develop new topics to study. It is important to understand the impact managing high blood pressure (hypertension) has on patients’ health, access to health care and overall wellbeing. The purpose of this study is to create an archive of patient, caregiver, and research participant stories that researchers can use to better understand people’s experiences with health, illness, coping, and the healthcare system. Researchers hope their findings will lead to the development of research studies that address improving high blood pressure management.
