Increasing Parental eHealth Literacy
STUDY BASICS
Do you care for a child ages 1-4? Are you over 18 years old? You may be eligible for a student research study to help you find online health resources for your children.
STUDY PURPOSE
The goal of this project is to teach you how to find quality sources on the Internet that you can use to find health related information. The project also looks at a different way to provide injury prevention material, particularly water safety, that can take place outside of your child's doctors' appointments.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
Eligible participants:
- Are 18 years or older
- Care for a child ages 1-4
- Have access to the internet
- Can read and write in English
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
If you agree to be a part of this project, you will first be asked to complete a survey. After you complete the survey, you can watch the educational video that is 30 minutes in length. The video will focus on water safety and drowning prevention in children, which may result in mild distress or anxiety. After you watch the video, you will complete the final survey.
