NO IN-PERSON VISITS
We're sorry. This study is closed and no longer recruiting participants.

STUDY BASICS

Are you the parent or caregiver of 3-5 year olds with sleep difficulties and disruptive behavior (e.g, inattention or hyperactivity)? You may be eligible for a research study to inform the development of a sleep-focused parenting intervention. Compensation is provided.

STUDY PURPOSE

We will conduct interviews with parents and providers to inform the development of a parent behavioral intervention focused on improving sleep for 3-5 year-old children at elevated risk for ADHD. This study will help researchers design an intervention to be tested in future research to treat sleep problems among children with or at risk for developing ADHD.

COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?

Eligible participants are:

  • Ages 18 and over
  • English speaking
  • Parents/caregivers of 3-5 year olds with sleep difficulties and disruptive behavior (e.g., inattention or hyperactivity)
  • Child has NOT been diagnosed with narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea, or Autism Spectrum Disorders

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

If you agree to participate, we will ask you to participate in a one-time 60-minute focus group conducted virtually (i.e., via Zoom). During the focus group, we will ask you to discuss and provide feedback on the acceptability and feasibility of various aspects of a planned sleep-focused parent behavioral intervention. Focus groups will be video and audio recorded in order for the study team to conduct thematic content analysis. The recordings will not include participants' full name or any other identifiable information.
