STUDY BASICS

Are you interested in learning more about pregnancy for people with disabilities? Would you like to understand more about how to be prepared for pregnancy in a way that is tailored to you and the needs of people with mobility disabilities? You may be able to participate in a research study to learn more about how to provide better preconception education for women with mobility disabilities.


STUDY PURPOSE

Our goal is to evaluate a new educational intervention to address the experiences, needs and concerns of women with physical disabilities who are considering pregnancy, with the goal of enhancing service delivery and care.


COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
  • Have a mobility disability requiring an assistive device such as a wheelchair, walker, cane, or forearm crutches.
  • Be interested in pregnancy in the next 5 years OR been pregnant in the past
  • Be 18 year or older

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

The research study involves a single, telephone call lasting 60 minutes. You will receive an innovative, new education intervention and give some feedback on what you thought about it.
