STUDY BASICS

Are you a right-handed college student who is 18-30 years old? Are you also a native Korean speaker who speaks English as a second language? You may be able to participate in a study to understand how first language backgrounds influence learning a second language. Participation involves reading pairs of sentences as brain activity is measured and completing computer tasks. Compensation provided.

Charles Perfetti

Charles Perfetti is Distinguished University Professor of Psychology and Director of the Learning Research & Development Center. His research contributes to the Science of Reading, the study of how humans obtain meaning from written language. His lab uses behavioral and EEG recording methods to study word learning, word reading, and reading comprehension across languages.
