STUDY BASICS

Are you newly seeking treatment for heroin or other opioids? Are you 18 or older? You may be eligible for a research study to test treatment approaches, including medications, to help patients with opioid use disorder stay in treatment.


STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this research study is to test strategies, including medications, to help patients with opioid use disorder stay in treatment. The two medications that the study is using are buprenorphine and naltrexone. 


COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
  • Have Opioid Use Disorder (OUD)
  • Are at least 18 years old

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
  • Screening Visit
  • 24 in-Person Visits (over 1.5 years)
  • Medication for OUD
  • Medical Management visits
  • Access to a mobile health app called Pear-002a*  (*offered to 50% of study participants)
  • 3 Follow-Up Visits (over 0.5 years)
