STUDY BASICS

Are you a woman aged 18-45 years old who has been diagnosed with opioid use disorder? Have you had contact with a buprenorphine treatment program (includes phone call, intake, or treatment visit)? Researchers want to learn more about women’s experiences in buprenorphine (also known as Suboxone and Subutex) treatment programs. Compensation provided.

STUDY PURPOSE

People in treatment for opioid use disorder sometimes use a prescription medication called buprenorphine (also known as Suboxone or Subutex) to help control cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, and prevent relapse. This type of substance use treatment is called medication-assisted treatment (MAT).

The purpose of this study is to learn more about women’s access to medication-assisted treatment and the quality of medication-assisted treatment services. Researchers hope their findings will lead to a better understanding of treatment options for women with opioid use disorder.
