STUDY BASICS
Do you have type 1 diabetes? You may be eligible to participate in a research study to understand how daily experiences impact the health and well-being of people with type 1 diabetes. Participation involves a Zoom session which will last approximately one and a half hours followed by a two-week period of completing six brief (3-5 minute) surveys per day. Compensation is provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose of the research is to expand our understanding of how small events in daily life might influence the management of type 1 diabetes. This research may be important for informing future interventions aimed at easing the burden of living with type 1 diabetes.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
- Age 35-59 and older
- Have type 1 diabetes
- Use a continuous glucose monitor (CGM)
- Do not use a closed-loop insulin pump system
- Are not currently taking hydroxyurea
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
If you decide to participate, you will be scheduled for an initial Zoom session which will last approximately one and a half hours. You would then complete a two-week period during which time you would receive six brief (3-5 minutes) surveys per day. You would also be asked to provide information on you blood glucose levels during the study period. We would give you a CGM to wear which would share your glucose data with us.
