PA CATALYST Focus Group Discussion - Parent of a child 15-17
STUDY BASICS
Are you the parent of a Pennsylvanian between the ages of 15-17? This research study wants your child's opinion on abortion and contraceptive care in Pennsylvania. They hope to understand thoughts, beliefs, and opinions on related policies. Participation involves a focus group discussion that will last for approximately 1.5 hours. Compensation is provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
The goal for these focus groups is to understand experiences and perspectives on policies about contraception and abortion in our state that may affect your child, communities, and people your child cares about.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
Participation involves a focus group discussion hosted by the University of Pittsburgh. These focus group discussions intend to explore social norms, attitudes, beliefs and behaviors relating to contraception and abortion, and to policy governing access to these services. The discussion will last for approximately 1.5 hours.

MEET THE RESEARCHER
Tamar Krishnamurti
Tamar Krishnamurti, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Dr. Krishnamurti’s research interests include the design of effective communications, decision aids, and interventions for both domestic and international populations as well as medical decision making, mHealth, and risk perception and communication.
