Research Study on Communication and Understanding in Behavioral Health

STUDY BASICS

Are you 18? Have you had experience managing your mental wellness and/or interacting with behavioral health care providers? You may be eligible to participate in a research study to understand the communication between patients and their providers and how that interaction affects understanding and participation in behavioral health.

STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this study is to understand the communication between patients and their providers and how that interaction affects understanding and participation in behavioral health.

COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?

• Are aged 18 or older
• Currently reside in Allegheny County even if temporary for work or school
• Have had experience managing your mental wellness and/or interacting with behavioral health care providers (includes but not limited to social workers, nurse practitioners, doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, case managers)

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

• A 10-minute survey
•  An optional interview that will take about 30 minutes
