COVID and Diabetes Assessment (CODA) Study - Adults 18+
STUDY BASICS
Have you recently been diagnosed with diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, or Indeterminate)? You may be eligible for a research study to gain a deeper understanding of the link between COVID-19 and diabetes.
STUDY PURPOSE
The COVID and Diabetes Assessment study’s goal is to gain a deeper understanding of the link between COVID-19 and diabetes. This study will observe patients recently diagnosed with diabetes who have and have not had recent COVID-19. Some studies have suggested that infection with COVID-19 may result in a higher risk of developing diabetes, and also make the diabetes progress more rapidly. This study will help us to better understand these issues.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
- Diagnosed with diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, or Indeterminate) in the last 3 months
- Age 18 and older

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
Study participants will be surveyed by phone, online or in person and will provide regular blood samples. Participants will be followed for two years and must be willing to travel to a study site to complete the six study visits. Participants will also have the option to participate in additional tests to learn more about blood sugar control and blood vessel health.
