STUDY BASICS

Have you had a brain injury? You may be eligible for a research study that could help improve arm and hand function in people with traumatic brain injury. Eligible participants will attend up to 4 testing sessions. Compensation is provided.


STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of our study is to investigate how electrical stimulation of the spinal nerves can affect the use of arm and hand muscles in people who have had a traumatic brain injury (TBI). More specifically, we would like to understand if these activations can affect arm and hand weakness, spasticity and motor control in participants affected by TBI.


COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
  • age between 21 and 70 years old
  • had a traumatic brain injury more than 1 year ago
  • arm or hand weakness

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
  • attend up to 4 testing sessions
  • receive compensation
