STUDY BASICS

Are you between 18-50 years of age and do you have a ragweed allergy (allergies in mid-summer to early fall)? If so, you may be eligible to participate in a study to determine if allergic rhinitis (nasal allergy) increases the rate of blood-flow in the lining of the middle ear. Participants must not have asthma. Requires three visits to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Compensation provided.

Cuneyt Alper

Cuneyt Alper, MD, is Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. As an otolaryngology physician, he specializes in treating conditions of the ear, nose, and throad (also referred to as ENT). A graduate of Hacettepe University in Ankara, Dr. Alper is renowned as an expert in treatment and research for ear conditions. In addition to being an acitve practitioner at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Dr. Alper runs a clinic specifically for adults and children with Eustachian tube dysfunction.
