LGBTQ+ Experiences in Daily Life
STUDY BASICS
Are you an LGBTQ+ person from 18-29 years old? You may be eligible to participate in a research study that explores LGBTQ+ social life in relation to mental health. Compensation is provided. Some participants will be chosen at random to receive an additional prize.
STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose of this study is to further understand the types of social experiences LGBTQ+ people face and how said experiences connect to mental health. Participants will be able to contribute by providing data about their daily stressors, changes in emotions, behaviors, and social interactions. Researchers hope that their findings will contribute to the development of better assessment approaches and treatment strategies for LGBTQ+ people that experience psychological distress.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
- 18-29 years old
- Fluent in English
- Reside in the United States
- Have had LGBTQ+ experiences
- Own a smartphone compatible with the Metric Wire application
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
Participants will complete multiple daily surveys totaling 20 minutes per day. The questions will be a combination of random prompts and documenting social interactions. Participants will have 30 minutes to complete each survey, and will stop receiving notifications upon study completion.
