STUDY BASICS
Are you pregnant and thinking about having a tubal sterilization (“getting your tubes tied”) after delivering your baby? Are you using Medicaid insurance to cover the cost of delivery? If so, you may be interested in a 1-visit research study to help test a new interactive tool designed to help women make decisions about tubal sterilization. Involves one 90-minute interview. Compensation provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
A tubal sterilization, also known as "getting your tubes tied" or tubal ligation, is a type of surgery for females that prevents pregnancy. The purpose of this study is to gather feedback about a new interactive tool called “My Decision” that is designed to help women make decisions about tubal sterilizations. Researchers hope their findings will lead to improvements to the “My Decision” tool to ensure that it provides the information and support women need when making family planning decisions.COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
- Pregnant women aged 21 or older
- Considering having a tubal sterilization (“getting your tubes tied”) after the delivery of your baby
- Using Medicaid insurance to cover the delivery of your baby
