EVERGREEN Study
STUDY BASICS
Are you 18-35 years old? Do you have a Nexplanon® implant (also called an etonogestrel implant)? You may be able to participate in a research study to find out if Nexplanon is safe and effective for use beyond three years. Eligible participants have a Nexplanon implant that was inserted 34–36 months ago (almost three years ago). Compensation is provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
Nexplanon® (also called an etonogestrel implant) is a long-acting, reversible, hormonal birth control used by women to prevent pregnancy. Nexplanon is approved for use for up to three years, but some evidence suggests that Nexplanon may prevent pregnancy for a longer period of time. The purpose of this study is to find out if Nexplanon is safe and effective for use beyond three years.
