STUDY BASICS

Are you 18-65 years old? Recently, have you felt little interest or pleasure doing things? Are you currently being treated for depression but feel that your treatment isn’t helping your symptoms? You may be able to participate in a study to learn about the effects of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) on the brain in depressed adults. This study involves MRI scanning. Compensation provided.

STUDY PURPOSE

This study is trying to understand whether brain activity in your MR scan may help to predict who does or does not respond to Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for the treatment of depression.

COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
  • Age 18-65
  • Willing to travel to Oakland, Pittsburgh Monday-Friday for approximately an hour a day for 4-6 weeks
  • Current depression or Major Depressive Disorder
