STUDY BASICS

Are you a heart attack survivor currently suffering from heart failure? If so, you may be eligible to participate in a study to test the safety and effectiveness of the CKI Parachute implant device for treatment of heart failure. Researchers want to find out if the Parachute device can slow the progression of heart failure, reduce repeat hospitalizations and improve quality of life.

Catalin Toma, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute. Dr. Toma works as an Interventional Cardiologist in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and he is the Director of Interventional Cardiology Research.
