STUDY BASICS
Researchers at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC are conducting a research study to help better understand women’s experiences with miscarriage and preferences for care. Participants are women between the ages of 18-45 who have had a miscarriage within the last 6 months and are willing to be interviewed about their experience. Compensation provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
Over 1 million women per year experience a miscarriage in the United States, but there is little research about how healthcare providers can best help women at this time. The purpose of this study is to help researchers better understand women’s needs and preferences for care during and after a pregnancy loss.COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
- Women ages 18-45
- Had a miscarriage in past six months
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
This study involves one 2-hour visit during which participants will be interviewed about their miscarriage experience and their preferences and suggestions for care during this time.IRB: PRO15100500

Rachel Flink-Bochacki
Rachel Flink-Bochacki, MD, is a Family Planning Fellow in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. After completing her residency at Strong Memorial Hospital, Dr. Flink-Bochacki is a practicing Ob/Gyn.
