STUDY BASICS
Are you a Black American or African American and have a child between the ages of 11 to 14? If so, we want to hear from you and your child about your perspectives of what supports health and well being. Compensation is provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose of this study is to understand which factors and experiences support or undermine the physical, mental, and behavioral health of youth and families in our local communities. We intend to use this information to inform the development of prevention and intervention efforts that improve the health of children and families. Our goal is to advance knowledge of how best to promote youth and family well-being.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
Parents who live in the Pittsburgh metro area or in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Fayette, Lawrence, Washington, or Westmoreland counties and have children who are between 11 and 14 years old.
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
You and your child:
- 4 survey Sessions
- 90 minutes/session
You will be asked questions about your and your child's physical and mental health
