iCARE2 investigating Concussion in Adolescents at Risk for Emotion dysregulation - Parent of a child 10-17
STUDY BASICS
Are you the parent of a child 10 to 17 who has had a mild orthopedic injury (includes leg/arm injuries and/or other body injuries such as sprains and strains that do not require hospitalization or surgical interventions)? Your child may be eligible for a research study to improve understanding of how the brain recovers after a concussion in adolescents. Compensation is provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose of this research study is to examine possible differences in the brain functioning and structure of youth with and without concussion. This study uses magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to look at how the brain works and saliva to assess levels of pubertal hormones.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
