The Reading Brain Project – Healthy Volunteer 50-90 years old
STUDY BASICS
Are you healthy and 50-90 years old? You may be able to participate in a learning research study involving stroke survivors and healthy volunteers. Eligible participants must be right-handed and willing to commit to 4-5 hours of behavioral and neuropsychological testing. Compensation is provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose of this research study is to learn more about reading in the brain and how reading is affected by strokes in the cerebellum and disorders such as dyslexia. It is hoped that this information will help in the treatment of future patients with cerebellar strokes, dyslexia, or disordered reading.

- Right handed
- Generally healthy

Julie Fiez
Julie Fiez, PhD, is Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Fiez is the principal investigator at the Fiez Lab, where she works with a group of researchers who use different approaches to understand more about how the brain and the mind work.
