STUDY BASICS

Are you the parent of a teen that is pregnant? Your child may be eligible for a research study to learn about what young pregnant people perceive to be helpful and not helpful during conversations with their healthcare providers about cannabis and tobacco use during pregnancy. Compensation is provided.


STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this study is to learn about what young pregnant people perceive to be helpful and not helpful during conversations with their healthcare providers about cannabis and tobacco use during pregnancy. 


COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOUR CHILD?

  • are pregnant
  • come to Magee-Womens Hospital clinics for your obstetric visits
  • are 13-17 years of age
  • have any experience with using cannabis, marijuana, tobacco, or nicotine

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

Participants will complete an interview focused on their perspectives of talking with healthcare providers about substance use during pregnancy.  The interview and discussion would take no more than an hour in total.
