REAACH: Understanding Sociocultural Influences on Youth Mental Health Study
STUDY BASICS
Are you a parent of a child or adolescent (ages 12-17) living in the Pittsburgh Metro or surrounding counties? You may be eligible for a research study to understand what factors and experiences support or undermine the mental health of and mental health help-seeking for children in our local communities. If you agree to participate in this study, you will join other parents for a group interview.
STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose of this study is to understand what factors and experiences support or undermine the mental health of and mental health help-seeking for youth in our local communities. We intend to use this information to inform the development of prevention and intervention efforts that improve children’s mental health. Our goal is to advance knowledge of how best to promote youth well-being, and we highly value your insights to achieve that goal and support the healthy development of children.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
Parents who live in the Pittsburgh metro or surrounding/outlying counties and have children who are between 12 and 17 years old.
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
If you agree to participate in this study, you will join other parents and caregivers for a group interview. The group interview will include conversations regarding child and adolescent mental health and the factors and experiences that impact youth mental health and mental health help-seeking. We are interested in hearing your viewpoint based on your personal experiences.
