STUDY BASICS

Are you the parent of a teen 13-17 years old? Your child may be eligible for a clinical research study on adolescent media uses. Participation involves four visits across 18 months. Compensation is provided.

STUDY PURPOSE

This research study is examining how adolescents pay attention to and process media depictions of gun violence and how this is related to emotional development.

COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?

Criteria for your child:

• Ages 13-17
• No personal history of autism, bipolar disorder, or psychosis

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

This study occurs over four time points across 18 months.

• Lab Visit 1: This visit will last approximately 3-4 hours and may be split up across two separate visits, if desired.
• Lab Visits 2-4: These visits will last approximately 1-2 hours each.
