Auditory Learning Study
STUDY BASICS
Are you 18-30 years old, with no history of speech, language, hearing, attention, or neurological conditions? If so, you may be able to take part in a research study to help better understand how people learn through listening. This study involves five in-person visits over about one month. Compensation is provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
Auditory learning is a type of learning style in which people learn through listening. The purpose of this study is to find out more about different types of learning styles. Researchers hope their findings lead to a better understanding of how people process information.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
- Ages 18-30
- Normal hearing
- Normal or corrected-to-normal vision
- No history of speech, language, hearing, attention, or neurological conditions
- No history of head injury, traumatic brain injury, or concussion
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
Participation involves five online sessions. Participants will be asked to complete questionnaires, have hearing and vision tests, and perform auditory tasks. Visit 1 takes about 60-120 minutes to complete. Visits 2-5 take about 45 minutes each to complete.
