STUDY BASICS

Are you a woman who is between 12 and 20 weeks pregnant? If so, you may be able to participate in a research study about weight gain during pregnancy. This study involves filling out questionnaires and participating in interviews. Compensation provided.


STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose of this research study is to look at psychological and other factors that might contribute to weight gain during pregnancy.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
  • Pregnant woman age 18 and up
  • Less than 20 weeks pregnant

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
Participation involves questionnaires and interviews that will take place at the study office and by telephone.

Michele Levine

Michele Levine, PhD, is Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh. She received a doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh, and is an active teacher and researcher. Her main research area is the health and well-being of women, especially women who are pregnant or have just given birth.
