STUDY BASICS

Are you the parent of an adolescent with depression? If so, your child may be eligible for a research study at the University of Pittsburgh examining a potential smartphone application for depression. Participants are asked to complete a virtual interview lasting 15 – 30 minutes. Compensation is provided.

STUDY PURPOSE

This research is to evaluate MotivaSpark, a digital therapeutic designed to address anhedonia, a core and often treatment-resistant feature of depression in young adults. Anhedonia is characterized by reduced motivation and diminished ability to experience pleasure and is frequently associated with poor functional outcomes despite standard treatments. The purpose of this study is to assess the feasibility, acceptability, and clinical utility of MotivaSpark when used in real-world clinical settings.
