STUDY BASICS

Are you 18 years of age or older, and interested in the future of early cancer detection? If so, you may be eligible to take part in a groundbreaking research study focused on improving access to early cancer detection.

STUDY PURPOSE

The C-DETECT project is a groundbreaking research initiative focused on improving access to early cancer detection. The purpose of the study is to gain feedback about a device and process that can test a urine sample to check for cancer. The device checks urine for tiny signals that point to cancer. After urine samples are taken, sensors within the device detect signs linked to cancer. When something is found, the device sends a signal that can be measured, helping detect cancer early.  

COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?

Are age 18 or older

Be a member of a special interest group including, but not limited to:

• Identify with a cultural or ethnic background
• Live in rural or urban Pennsylvania
• Are or were a firefighter
• Are or were a member of the military
• Have been exposed to environmental hazards, or advocate for people who have
• Have a personal or family history of cancer

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

Participants will have the opportunity to help improve access to early cancer detection services and contribute to programs that better reflect real community needs, with the goal of reducing cancer disparities in our region. As part of the study, you will be invited to attend a small group listening session, either in person or virtually, where you can share your perspectives in a respectful and supportive environment. These sessions typically last between 60 and 90 minutes.
