STUDY BASICS

Are you 29-59 years old? Have you ever had a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)? You may be able to participate in a research study to help identify changes in the brain that may or may not occur after brain injury. Compensation is provided. The full study involves a few visits to Presbyterian Hospital. Procedures include questionnaires, MRI and PET imaging.


STUDY PURPOSE

The study seeks to examine the characteristics of brain function after traumatic brain injury (TBI). The brain imaging and biological samples collected through this study aim to help researchers better understand the changes that may or may not occur after TBI.


COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
  • Age 29 to 59 years old
  • Experienced a traumatic brain injury over 1 year ago
  • Willing and able to complete an MRI scan

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
  • Neuropsychological assessments & questionnaires
  • Blood draw  
  • MRI
  • 2 PET scans
