ACTIV-6 Research Study
STUDY BASICS
Are you at least 30 years old? Have you tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 10 days? You may be able to participate in a research study to test medications that are already approved for other diseases to see if they can help people with mild to moderate COVID-19. Participants will take a prescribed study medication or placebo and will complete online surveys. Compensation is provided.

Akira Sekikawa
Akira Sekikawa, MD, PhD is Professor of Epidemiology, School of Public Health, and Director, T32 Cardiovascular Epidemiology Training Program. Dr. Sekikawa graduated from a medical school in Japan and practiced there for over 10 years. Dr. Sekikawa came to Pittsburgh in 1994 to learn epidemiology as a basic science for disease prevention. His research focus lies on epidemiology of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and dementia contrasting between the US and Japan as well as randomized controlled trials.
