STUDY BASICS

Are you pregnant? Have you tried quitting or cutting down your tobacco and marijuana use? You may be eligible for a research study to share your thoughts and experiences in a virtual interview. Participation involves a confidential interview that is held on Zoom and lasts about 1 hour. Compensation is provided.


STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this study is to hear about what people think, believe, and feel about their experiences during pregnancy and different behaviors and behavior changes that may happen during pregnancy.  This study is working with a group of community members with a variety of expertise in health in pregnancy and experience with tobacco and marijuana to develop a new intervention to help pregnant people quit smoking, potentially by addressing mental health.


COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
  • pregnant or 0-6 months postpartum
  • used tobacco and cannabis during pregnancy
  • experienced depressive symptoms during pregnancy
  • are age 18 or older
  • speak and understand English

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

For this research study, the study team will talk with you on the phone or by video chat. They will ask you some questions about your experiences during pregnancy. The interview is about 1 hour – it varies depending on the person being interviewed.
