MODAT Benchmark Data Collection
STUDY BASICS
If you are 18 or older and interested in research to measure the capacity to use smartphone, you may be eligible to participate in this research study. Participants will be asked to complete a series of tasks that allow testing of motor and cognitive functions in 1 study session lasting about 45 to 60 minutes. Compensation is provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose of this study is to design, develop and improve the Mobile Device Assessment Tool (MoDAT), a mobile app that will be used to measure how well persons with disabilities use a mobile device such as smartphone through continuous testing.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
- Ages 18+
- Ownership of a smart phone and/or prior experience using a smartphone device
- No physical and cognitive disability as measured by screening tools
- Ability to provide consent
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
As a participant, you may be asked to complete a series of simulation tasks that allow testing of motor and cognitive functions in common smartphone usage scenarios. The result of these tasks would be used to build the benchmark data for MODAT. The study will be completed in 45-60 minutes.
