STUDY BASICS

Are you 18-75 years old? Have you recently had an acute pancreatitis attack? You may be able to participate in a study to determine if acute pancreatitis increases your risk for diabetes. This study involves up to 9 visits over 3-5 years, and includes providing blood samples and undergoing tests to detect diabetes. Compensation is provided.

Dhiraj Yadav, MD, MPH, is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition in the Department of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Yadav’s research interests include the study of pancreatic diseases.
