DREAM Study
STUDY BASICS
Are you 18 years of age or older, fluent in English and living with a romantic partner you’ve been together with for at least 6 months? If so, you and your partner may be eligible to participate in a research study examining couples’ daily relationship experiences, activities, and motivations. Compensation provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
Couples in established romantic relationships often have a variety of experiences (activities, conversations) each day. The purpose of this study is to help researchers learn more about the daily experiences of partners in romantic relationships. Researchers hope their findings will lead to a better understating of how couples are impacted by their daily experiences and conversations.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
- Ages 18 and up (both participant and romantic partner)
- Living with romantic partner
- Have been in a romantic relationship with partner for at least 6 months
- Romantic partner also willing to participate in study
- Both participant and romantic partner willing to provide first and last name and to appear on camera for the Zoom session
- Have access, as a couple, to 2 or more electronic devices with internet access (smartphones, laptop/computers, tablets), including one with a camera to use in the Zoom session
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
Attending a 75 minute* remote lab session (held on Zoom) with your partner, in which you learn more about the study and privately fill out online questionnaires, and completing shorter (10-15 minute) daily online follow-up surveys for 14 days after the Zoom session.
*75 minute estimate based on each couple member using a laptop, computer, or tablet to complete online questionnaires. If one or both couple members are using smartphones to complete questionnaires, the remote lab session may take an additional 10-30 minutes.
