STUDY BASICS
Are you aged 40-70, don’t regularly exercise, and have been told by a physician that you have one of the following: overweight/obesity, high blood pressure, and/or prediabetes? You may be able to participate in a study to help you increase your activity levels. This study involves completing a computer-based program with tracking tools and goal setting materials. Compensation is provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose of this study is to develop, implement, and evaluate feasible intervention options for clinical care patients with cardiometabolic risk factors toward meeting the United States Centers for Disease Control recommended levels of physical activity for adults.
COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
- 40-70 years old
- Do not currently exercise regularly.
- Have you been told by your doctor that you have one of the following: overweight/obesity, high blood pressure (hypertension) or prediabetes (high blood glucose levels).
- Have NOT been told by your doctor that you have diabetes.
WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
Your participation will last approximately 12 to 15 months:
- The intervention that you are randomly assigned to.
