STUDY BASICS

Are you a healthy adult? You may be eligible for a research study to understand whether indoor wireless sensors, especially millimeter-wave radar, can be used to monitor human activity, movement, and daily behavior in indoor spaces. Participation involves either a single laboratory session (1.5 hours) or a longer-term free-living home deployment (up to 30 days). Compensation is provided.

STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this study is to understand whether indoor wireless sensors, especially millimeter-wave radar, can be used to monitor human activity, movement, and daily behavior in indoor spaces.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

Participants may be asked to complete either a single laboratory session or a longer-term free-living home deployment.

  • Single laboratory session (1.5 hours) - Participants may be asked to perform normal indoor activities such as walking, sitting, standing, reaching, posture changes, or moving around a room while our sensor system records data.
  • Home deployment of an extended duration (not to exceed 30 days) - Participation would be an extended length of time (flexible) determined by discussion with you. This is a free-living deployment in which the equipment collects data automatically while you continue your normal daily routine.
