STUDY BASICS

Are you the guardian/caregiver of a child between the ages of 6-12 with a diagnosis of ADHD? You and your child may be eligible for a research study to see how well a smartwatch can measure hyperactivity in children with ADHD. Compensation is provided.

STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this research study to see how well a smartwatch can measure hyperactivity in children with ADHD. The study will test whether sensor data from a smartwatch can track movement well enough to identify potential symptoms of ADHD-related hyperactivity in children.

COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?

Guardian/caregiver of a child:

  • between the ages 6-12
  • that resides with at least one guardian/caregiver
  • diagnosed with ADHD – hyperactive type

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

On the day that your child will wear the smartwatch he/she will put the smartwatch on their wrist when they wake up and will wear the watch throughout the day and go throughout the day as they normally would. You will sometimes receive a message on your phone to answer short questionnaires about your child’s behavior, which will help our research. At the end of the day, before your child goes to bed, he/she will remove the smartwatch and charge it. You will also answer a brief survey about the day, which should take less than 5 minutes. In addition, at the end of the day you will make sure that the sensor data from the smartwatch has been uploaded to the LemurDx app on your smartphone via Bluetooth. The study duration is 4 weeks, and you can terminate the participation at any moment.
