STUDY BASICS

Do you sometimes have periods of good days and also periods of more difficult days where you wish you could remember what better days were like? You may be able to participate in a study of an intervention to examine whether we can reconnect people with their “good day” self on difficult days. Participants will be compensated.

STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this study is to understand whether we can use various technologies to help people regain access to how they were on a previous "good" day.

COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?

Eligible participants:

  • Are 18-65 years old
  • Likely to experience at least 2-day long periods of “good” days and more difficult days within 2 months

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

If you are eligible and want to be a part of the study, you will participate for ~2 months (questionnaires + 3 visits). The researchers will ask you to complete questionnaires and do tests on a computer, participate in a “backup” session on a good day with brain and body recordings, and participate in 2 “restore” days during a more difficult period where we use technologies such as brain stimulation, neurofeedback, vibration, and instructions to see how close we can get to restoring the “good day” state.
