STUDY BASICS
Are you age 60 or older? If so, you may be able to participate in a research study to help learn more about the relationship between daily life experiences and biological changes in older adults. Eligible participants are generally healthy non-smokers. Involves 3 videoconference visits, online questionnaires, and providing saliva and blood samples. Compensation provided.
STUDY PURPOSE
Positive and negative life experiences can have an impact on physical and mental health. The purpose of this study is to learn more about the relationship between daily life experiences and biological changes in older adults. Researchers hope their findings lead to a better understanding of the factors that affect long-term health. |

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
Participation includes 3 videoconference visits over the course of 7 months, plus online assessments at home. Each visit will last about 1-1.5 hours. During the visits, participants will have cognitive and physical health assessments, provide blood, and answer questionnaires. Participants will be asked to complete an online diary and provide saliva samples several times per day for 10 days.

Rebecca Reed, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh. A graduate of the University of Arizona, Dr. Reed’s research interests include aging, close relationships, emotion regulation, and psychoneuroimmunology.
