STUDY PURPOSE
The University Center for Social and Urban Research (or “UCSUR”) at the University of Pittsburgh regularly conducts academic research surveys and studies with local residents. The studies cover a variety of topics, such as telephone and web-based surveys about quality of life, health, community and regional issues, opinions on social issues, etc., and require different types of participants. Some are conducted directly by UCSUR and others are conducted with researchers at Pitt and other local universities. The purpose of this registry is to build a list of local Pittsburgh residents who are willing to be contacted for future surveys and research studies.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT
Participants in this registry allow UCSUR to include you in a list of potential participants for research studies and surveys. Being included does not mean that you are committing to anything or that you will definitely be contacted. UCSUR does not offer compensation for joining the Registry, but individual studies for which you are contacted may offer compensation.
