STUDY BASICS

Are you 60 years old with depression? You may be eligible for a research study to determine what factors may predict successful treatment of depression with standard medication. Participation involves questionnaires/interviews, cognitive testing, and a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan before treatment. Compensation is provided.


STUDY PURPOSE

The purpose of this study is to investigate brain-based markers of antidepressant treatment response.


COULD THIS STUDY BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
  • at least 60 years old
  • have depression 
  • planning on receiving an antidepressant treatment change in the near future

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

This study meets with participants at the start of the study for baseline assessments and then follow up on their treatment progress over 4 months.

Participants will undergo questionnaires/interviews, cognitive testing, and a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan before treatment.
